SHARJAH AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL FREE ZONE (SAIF ZONE)

TYPES OF LICENSED ENTITIES
Free Zone Company (FZCO):
Multiple shareholders can set up a free zone company (FZCO) in SAIF Zone. These shareholders can be individuals, non-individuals or a combination of both. An FZCO is essentially a limited liability partnership within the free zone, with the liabilities of the company limited to the paid up capital.
Free Zone Entity (FZE):
Whether an individual or a company, a single shareholder can register a Free Zone establishment (FZE) in SAIF Zone. An FZE is essentially a limited liability partnership within the free zone, with the liability of the company limited to the paid up capital.
Branch Company:
A branch is a legal entity of its parent company. Any company established outside the JAFZA can establish a branch within the SAIF Zone. The branch company should be 100% owned by the parent company, operate under the same name and conduct the same business.
TYPE OF SAIF ZONE LICENSE ACTIVITIES
TRADING
–Commercial license: Import, Export, Distribution, consolidation, storage or warehousing of items specific in the license. Maximum limit is three similar product lines.
– General trading license: Can be obtained under a commercial license which allows a large number of products.
Service license:
Service license allows the holder to carry out service specified in the license only. All type of services are allowed unless otherwise restricted by the Federal or local authorities.
Industrial license:
Activities allowed for this license are Import of raw materials, manufacturing, processing, assembling, packaging and exporting the finished product.

TYPES OF LICENSES
The various types of licensing activities that can be registered are as follows:
Industrial License
This license will allow the holder to import raw materials for the purpose of manufacturing, processing and/or assembly of specified products. The finished products may be exported outside the UAE. If the finished products are sold in the UAE market then the license holder will need to do this through a local distributor or a local agent.
Service License
This license will allow the holder to carry out the services which are specified on the license.
Commercial License
This license will allow the holder to import, export, sell, distribute and store items specified on the license. General Trading license is issued for those who need to deal with all the items.
FACILITIES:
Facilities include offices, warehouses, factories and executive office suites, the Zone also has over 15 on-site key business services, like banking and auditing firms, currency exchanges, conference rooms, staff accommodation, and more.
